Spring has arrived with conditions more befitting autumn. If you were looking forward to the promise of new life, new buds on the trees and warmer weather you may be justifiably disappointed and shelved your plans for a Spring braai over the weekend.
What we don’t always realise in times like this, is what’s actually going on behind the scenes, or under the ground, or inside the plants.
We’ve all seen it, and heard it, and maybe even said it ourselves. I’m talking about the verse in Matthew (5:4) ‘Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted’.
Maybe that's not the most helpful thing to say when someone is grieving.
